So it’s finally spring fucking break at ASU and my week is going pretty well because Red Tank! won the battle of the bands we were in on Saturday night and this girl wrote an article about it and used a picture of me for it and oh man does this mean I’m like mad famous now or what.

Okay so this happened like a week ago, but I’m not exactly what you would call an expert at “doing things on time”.

Awesome things about the house show in my living room at the Broadmor Manor last Saturday:

• This was the first house show of the year!
• After two years of futilely starting band after band, I decided to go it alone and played my first show as Those Poor Bastards. I went on late, drunker than I meant to be, sweating like a motherfucker, as the audience watched while drinking in my kitchen. I was nervous which never happens, but it went went well.
• Some people actually like saxophones! Who knew?
• After my opening set, l played guitar with Red Tank, also my first show with them. Clipper threw up right before we went on and during the show I accidentally cut my face with my guitar. 
• Peachcake killed it. Fucking confetti cannons in my living room. Synthesizers out the ass. Beer was everywhere. They get better every time I see them.
• Khayree met a rapper from Washington D.C. named Moeazy outside a coffee shop the night before this and convinced him to play our house show. He showed up right as Peachcake was over, we plugged his laptop into the PA and handed him a mike. 
• Smitty closed the show, swag as fuck, as usual.
• The keg beer was actually really awesome! (fuck yeah IPA!!)
• We made over $300 for R.I.S.E. PHX!! (fuck yeah supporting good causes!!!)
• The floors were unspeakably dirty.

everything about that night was perfect.
